Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Kandice learned early on that real estate is about so much more than buying and selling property — it's about creating opportunity, stability, and a legacy for future generations.

Her grandparents migrated from Puerto Rico in pursuit of the American dream, and her grandfather built a career as a real estate agent. Her mother later followed in his footsteps, so real estate has always been woven into the family's story.

In 2021, Kandice was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a single mother of two daughters, facing that diagnosis made her ask what kind of legacy she wanted to leave behind. She didn't just want to provide for her girls — she wanted to build something that would outlast her and show them that resilience, faith, and determination can turn life's hardest moments into new beginnings.

That journey brought her back to real estate, this time as an investor. She fell in love with the idea of creating lasting wealth, strengthening communities, and helping families build brighter futures through multifamily investing.

Along the way, she met her business partner, Sherise Punter, through a real estate investment program. They connected almost instantly — both moms from New York who had made their way to the Lake Norman area of North Carolina, sharing the same passion for building a meaningful business rooted in integrity, relationships, and service.

Together, they founded Liberty Lake Investments with a simple mission: to create opportunities for their investors, their communities, and their own families. Every property they pursue is about more than numbers — it's about creating places people are proud to call home while helping investors build long-term wealth.
